Features
Comprehensive Therapy Approaches
At Focused Function OT, we utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques tailored to each child's unique needs. Our methods include DIR Floortime for a child centered model promoting emotional and developmental growth, craniosacral therapy for gentle bodywork, rhythmic movement training for reflex integration and to enhance motor skills, as well as classic OT for sensory integration and motor based learning.
Specialized Infant Care
We specialize in treating infants facing oral motor dysfunction and feeding difficulties. This is done through a combination of body work, intra-oral work, exercises to promote strength and improved motor patterns, and positioning for optimal function. Using a family centered approach, we work closely with families to create home programs that promote improved strength, coordination, and overall skills needed to meet the goals you set for you and your baby.
Nervous System Regulation
Our services extend to children of all ages, focusing on nervous system regulation and sensory integration. We help children navigate sensory challenges, improving their ability to engage with the world around them. We believe in a holistic approach to therapy. We also offer the Safe and Sound Protocol and Rest and Restore Protocol which are designed to support nervous system function, emotional well-being, and resilience, ensuring that every child can thrive in their daily activities.
